Question:
What ayurvedic medicines are suggested for Dementia,?

My wife is this problem of short memory/dementia since Nov2004.She is unable to remember recent things and day-to-day chores are difficult to perform.Please suggest the medication. Can Panchkarma treatment be helpful? Or any other suitable treatment.

Answer: I am not quite sure about the ayurvedic but have you tried GINGKO BILOBA extract? Some Hakeems have made medicines containing Gingko Biloba and they probably help. Also, go to an Homeopathic store and purchase Gingko Biloba Q. It will help. Here in Pakistan, there is a desi medicine, named DAMAGHI ,which is quite good in Dementia. AND if you are an Indian, please go to a Hakeem, HAMDARD ,for example, and discuss your problem. They can help in such cases. Please try to REDUCE stress, try to be happy and make your wife happy. Long-standing Stress is a causative factor. Almonds, wallnuts, and sultanas with milk will also help

it has been proven in real, not hippie, clinical studies that marijuana helps greatly with memory. the initial studies were done under the Nixon administration. but, further studies were done of late, within the past year.

because of studies much about the chemical processes of memory function were made evident. it has also worked for Alzheimer's.
