Therapy For Aphasia

Question:
My brother had just got stoke early of Nov and now he is speechless andright body paralyse due to thrombosis. Can anybody tell me websites whichexplain on the therapy physically and mentally for such illness. It will begood also to find websites which tell actual stories of the same type ofpatients so that we can understand the feeling of the patient so that wewill be able to treat him better emotionally.

Any suggestions for me???

Answer: My mom had a stroke middle August . . . it's a long, hard struggle for boththe patient and you! She also had right-sided paralysis and difficultyspeaking. With very aggressive therapy, she now speaks clearly, no longerneeds the walker, and has recovered about 80% use of right side.Unfortunately, her memory is shot to hell so she will need constant'supervision'. She was taken home about 3 weeks ago and has been elated eversince!
