Alzheimers Treatment

Question:
I have some wonder related to MED: Alzheimer's Treatment?

My brain fog has worsened to the point of presenting the symptoms ofAlzheimer's. If forthcoming tests are positive (if diagnosing that diseasecan be considered positive), I will received one or more of these drugs:Remingl (?), Exelon, Aricept.

My doc says he might even try me on one of those drugs anyway. Has anyoneevery taken them? What was your experience?

Answer: A couple of years ago I had a mild stroke. (Well, that's they way They putit. ) I was bonkers and trembled for months. My neuro put me on Aricept. 6months later, all traces of the stoke had resolved. Not a spot on the MRI.

Also, A good friend GI who does LOTS of geriatric work has his mom onaricept. She seems to be holding her own.

It makes sense that Alzheimer's treatment would helpother brain problems. But I've learned just enough science to realizethings aren't always that easy.

I had a dear friend who had a stroke & he credited crossword puzzles. Atfirst he could only do the easy ones. Sometimes it would take days tocomplete a puzzle. Gradually he got better with the puzzles & also betterin general.
