Do you have to be rich to create a foundation (for Alzheimers research)?

My mom died of Alzheimer's and I was thinking about creating a foundation in her name to raise funds for Alzheimer's research and search for a cure.

Can anyone give me some suggestion or source of information to learn about???

Answer: no, you just have to know the right people; look up the condition online and search out famous people who have relatives; make some calls; find some rich people to donate.there are already foundations out there researching alzheimers. it would be easier for you to make a donation in your mom's name, than to start a foundation; it takes a lot of time and money. you would have to do year-round events to raise money. try looking up other foundations (like the susan g koman foundation) to see how they got started

i wouldnt think so as long as u have enough money to pay the expenses.
