Question: Death, alzheimers, dementia.....etc? Baby boomers, are you afraid of death? What does death mean to you? Does alzheimers or dementia scare you? Did you ever think that you would get to this age. I thought I would never get, doesn't it seem like when we were teens and young adults that we would never get old, and time was always on your side. Give me some comments ???
Answer: try not to think of it..... really though, I don't think I'm scared of death, just the thought that I'll be missing stuff, like the grandkids growing up etc. Alzheimers and dementia, yep, a little scared I guess, I hope some kind person would put me out of my misery if I got too bad. So..... think day by day, happy, positive thoughts, smile and everyone you meet, enjoy yourself..... Death does not scare me Alzheimer's does! My father passed away from this horrid disease, it is a cruel and awful way to go. I don't think I am quite old enough to be a baby boomer, but I wanted to answer your question. Death is final..we don't know what happens when we die (though a lot of us think we do). I see no reason to be afraid of it. Fearing death seems like a waste of time. For all we know, death is wonderful or nothingness. Wonderful is, wonderful, and if we do not exist after death, we won't know. If it is horrid, I just see know point in making this life horrid too by worrying about it. I do know Alzheimer's, so I have reason to fear it.
