Because an organization uses a remailer service really has nothing todo with it's failures or successes. Most people don't even know whatone is. Did you ever think that maybe the organization doesn't wish tospam or perhaps the service was donated to them to help spread theword of their services? Maybe they don't operate on a wasteful budget.From what I read here the organization only covers six or sevencounties. So how is that organization not as local as the nationalgroup, Alzheimer's Association that covers an entire nation?

Answer: I did look up the Alzheimer's Family Organization on theFlorida Department Of Elder Affairs web site and they are listedthere. I live in central Fla and I contacted their director today viatheir toll free number. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and hadalot to say about the disease and how the Alzheimer's Family was thereto help. He was very passionate and explained he became director afterdealing with his own Alzheimer's afflicted mother for many years. I ambringing my mother in to meet him and pick up information about theirsupport groups and the respite program. Try getting the director ofthe Alzheimer's Association on the phone sometime Howard. Impossible.

By the way, what does the director of the Alzheimer's Association makea year from donated monies that are supposed to be helping dementiaafflicted families and going for research? I'm tired of these nationalgroups that take away from the family services they claim to bechampioning for their own personal profit.

Families are much more important than the bottom line of charitiesthat run their affairs like a wall street business with multimilliondollar salaries and needless spending.

Our state group here in Alaska "disaffiliated" from the nationalassociation 2 years ago, and I was told that the primary reasonwas to keep all the money here for services to families.
